High Sierra RC&D Strategic Priority 1:
GOAL: Less than 10,000 acres of forest burn per county within the High Sierra RC&D Council boundaries yearly by 2013.
OBJECTIVE: Facilitate ten fuel reduction work and other pre-fire measure projects along with education within the five counties to ensure fewer yearly catastrophic fires within the High Sierra RC&D boundaries by 2012.
